FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Products & Materials

We produce a variety of fabrics including but not limited to: Spun Spun fabric, Spun Filament fabric, Samiramis fabric, dobby jacquard fabric, dyed fabric, polyester-viscose (TR) fabric, as well as various textures and styles such as checks, stripes, and more.

Fabric weight ranges from 90 to 400 gsm, with widths from 150 to 172 cm, suitable for different regional Thobe styles including Saudi, UAE, Qatari, Kuwaiti, and more. For details, please contact us or browse our product catalog on our website.
Our high-end fabrics are benchmarked against Japanese premium fabrics in terms of technical specifications, such as Toyobo's Saemiramis and Bright Future series. These products feature high-twist yarns and precision weaving processes, offering drapability, breathability, anti-pilling (Grade 4 and above) and wrinkle resistance comparable to similar Japanese fabrics.

Please feel free to contact us for the latest quotations and sample books.
For Gulf region summer temperatures exceeding 45°C, we recommend fabrics weighing 90–147 gsm, which achieve maximum breathability while maintaining the crisp drape required for a Thobe. Our Spun Spun fabrics (110–147 gsm) and lighter specifications of polyester jacquard white fabric (92–200 gsm) are popular choices in the Saudi and UAE markets.

For winter or cooler regions such as the UK, heavier fabrics of 180–300 gsm provide better crispness and warmth. Our polyester-viscose (TR) fabrics cover the widest weight range (90–300 gsm) and are suitable for year-round use.
All our products meet an anti-pilling standard of Grade 2.5 or above by default (ISO 12945-2), meaning they are resistant to fuzzing and pilling during daily wear. Higher standards can be set upon customer request; the corresponding increase in cost will be reflected in the quotation, but we will do our best to balance performance and cost to maintain high cost-effectiveness.

The high-twist yarn structure combined with specialized finishing processes in our products imparts excellent wrinkle recovery, keeping the fabric looking crisp even after long periods of kneeling for prayer.
We offer an extensive range of white shades, including natural white, bleached white, bluish white, and cream white, meeting various white tone preferences.

Dyed fabrics can be color-matched to Pantone codes or physical samples. White fabrics are particularly popular in traditional Saudi and UAE Thobe markets. Dyed fabric series serve customers who need colored fabrics for uniforms, casual Thobes, or local style variations across different regions.

Feel free to enquire about specific color options.
Spun Spun fabric uses staple fiber yarns in both warp and weft, presenting a natural cotton/linen-like texture with excellent breathability, ideal for everyday Thobes in hot climates.

Spun Filament fabric has staple yarns in the warp and filament yarns in the weft, offering a smoother surface and enhanced durability.

Samiramis fabric is our premium product line, directly benchmarked against the hand feel and drape of Japanese "Special Saemiramis" fabric, and is highly favored by high-end market users.

Each fabric type corresponds to different market positioning and price points. Please contact us and we will recommend suitable products and one-stop solutions based on your specific market and customer base.

Quality & Standards

We are a direct weaving manufacturer, not a trading company. Wohua Textile Co., Ltd. owns its own production base in Jinzhou City, Hebei Province, China, with a sales and operations office in Shaoxing. This means you benefit from factory-direct pricing, direct technical communication with the production team, and full quality control from yarn selection to finished fabric.

Please visit our Facilities page to learn about our production capacity, or our History page for more about our journey.
Our quality control follows a three-stage inspection process:
(1) Incoming yarn inspection – testing tensile strength and evenness;
(2) In-process inspection during weaving – identifying weaving defects;
(3) Final inspection of finished fabric using the Four-Point System (AQL 2.5) before packaging.

A quality inspection report can be provided with each batch. We also maintain batch-to-batch fabric consistency through standardized dyeing recipes and yarn lot tracking. This is crucial for high-end market customers who expect the same hand feel and color with every order. Welcome to contact us for details or check our Quality Control & Inspection Services page.
There are numerous international testing standards, such as AATCC, ISO, SASO, covering color fastness, anti-pilling, tensile strength, dimensional stability after washing, and many other items, each of which can be set to different grades. We organize production according to customers' clear requirements or assist customers in setting appropriate product quality standards.

We have an in-house quality testing lab capable of issuing quality test reports, and we also support testing by third-party organizations such as SGS, ITS, BV, and TÜV Rheinland for their reports.

Specific product quality parameters can be customized to your market requirements. Please contact us with your testing specifications for a detailed compliance assessment.
Fabric consistency is ensured through three mechanisms:
(1) Yarn lot tracking – the same order uses yarn of identical specifications purchased from the same supplier;
(2) Standardized dyeing and finishing recipes stored in our production database;
(3) Retention samples kept for each batch, used for cross-reference during repeat orders.

For long-term customers, we archive a "reference sample." When you place a repeat order months later, the new batch is physically compared to the original sample before shipment. This is especially important for high-end market customers.
Wohua Textile is a legally registered Chinese manufacturer (established on May 24, 2016) with export qualifications. We comply with Chinese national standards and can provide Certificates of Origin, composition certificates, and third-party test reports as needed for your import customs clearance.

For specific certifications (such as OEKO-TEX, GRS, etc.), please contact us to discuss your requirements and our current compliance status.

Customization & Samples

Our minimum order quantity is 1,500 meters per fabric type. This is significantly lower than the 3,000–5,000 meters typically required by Japanese trading companies, allowing growing or potential customers to test the market easily.

Flexible arrangements can be discussed for new customers' trial orders. Bulk discounts are available for orders over 10,000 meters. Please contact our sales team for a quotation based on your order volume.
Certainly. We offer free A4-sized fabric swatches for your evaluation. You usually only need to cover the courier fee (DHL/FedEx, approximately $25–35 to the Middle East or Europe). Samples are typically dispatched from our office within 2–5 working days.

If you require a complete swatch book, we also provide branded sample books. Please check our Sample Book & Selection page for details.
Standard stock samples are shipped within 2–3 working days. Custom samples (designated colors, special weights, or modified specifications) may require 5–7 working days as they involve small-batch production.

Lab dips for custom colors take 3–5 days. We prioritize sample requests with clear purchasing intent. Please advise your timeline, and we will do our best to accommodate.
Yes. We can customize multiple parameters: composition (polyester, TR blends, viscose blends), weight (90–300 gsm), width (up to 172 cm), weave (plain, twill, dobby, jacquard), color (Pantone or matched to physical sample), and finishing (non-iron, anti-static, moisture-wicking).

Custom development typically requires a minimum order of 3,000 meters. Please provide a physical sample or detailed specification sheet, and our technical team will evaluate feasibility and provide a quotation. Feel free to check our Full Customization page.
Yes, this is one of our core capabilities. Please send a physical fabric sample (usually at least 20 cm × 20 cm). We will analyze its composition, yarn count, weave structure, weight, and finishing, and then produce a matching sample within 7–10 days.

This service is particularly suitable for customers currently using Japanese fabrics (Toyobo Saemiramis, Bright Future series) who are looking for a factory-direct alternative that offers the same hand feel and performance at a more competitive price. Contact us to arrange sample replication.

There are no hidden costs. Your total landed cost = fabric price (FOB) + sea freight + insurance + destination duties + inland transportation. We provide transparent FOB quotations, and can also quote on CIF (cost, insurance, and freight) or DDP (delivered duty paid) basis according to your preference.

If a customer changes requirements after production has started, any additional costs incurred shall be borne by the customer in principle. We recommend customers with existing freight forwarders use FOB, while first-time importers may find CIF or DDP more convenient. Please discuss your preference with our sales team.
